BESIC Group's founder and Chief Technical Consultant is John, a Building Surveyor and Sustainability Consultant. John earned a Bachelor of Business Management (1st Class) degree from Mangalore University in India. He also holds a Professional Graduate Diploma in Property Inspection from InterNACHI School; a Diploma in Sustainable Development, Sustainability training from BATH University; Certificates in Sustainable Cities from Lund University & SDG Academy; and a Certificate in Green and Circular Economy Leadership from the University of Copenhagen. He is a USGBC LEED Green Associate, an IFC EDGE Expert, an Eco Districts AP, an ISSP Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA), an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), and a GRESB ESG consultant.

John is the immediate past CEO of the Kenya Green Building Society (KGBS), where he also served as Vice Chairperson and Head of the Advocacy Committee for 5½ years. He played a key role in the organization's transformation from a potential member of the World Green Building Council to an established GBC under the WGBC. He is a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI), and the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), in addition to his consulting job at BESIC Group.
