Background

WEB Limited is an East African Sustainable Construction Consultancy firm and a founding member of The Kenya Green Building Society. We provide highly integrated built-environment services throughout the entire property and infrastructure lifecycle. Our knowledge encompasses experiences in internationally acclaimed projects as well as numerous local developments, all of which contribute to our goal of continually delivering sustainable tailor-made solutions for our clients.

We have a unique opportunity and obligation as the region's pioneer and leading sustainable construction enterprise to be stewards of the built environment for future generations. We are committed to creating sustainable ecosystems at all levels of our organization by efficiently utilizing materials, energy, and water resources, reducing site impacts, and addressing the social and health issues that are related to development.

Our collaborations with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, with whom we cooperate to make their visions a reality, are critical to our ability to develop sustainable communities. Our goal is to make every project ecologically friendly, and we are always building on our experiences to enhance design process and technology as industry leaders.

To maximize value for clients, we use an integrated design process in which the entire team collaborates toward sustainability. For us, sustainable design is multifaceted, beginning with the conceptualization of a project and continuing through its implementation.

The Team

WEB Limited Group has a talented group of individuals who provide a variety of sustainable consultation services. In collaboration with our colleagues and partners, including Solid Green Limited, the team's combined experience in sustainability exceeds 200 years. Our professionals provide a variety of integrated or standalone services ranging from safety, health, and environmental consulting to building planning and design, as well as enabling successful asset strategies and workplace optimization.

Elizabeth Wangeci Chege is the CEO and co-founder of WEB Limited, a sustainable development consultancy. She is also the Immediate Past Chairperson of the Kenya Green Building Society (KGBS) and was nominated and appointed Vice Chairperson of the World Green Building Council Africa Regional Network in 2017. (The first Kenyan and female to hold the continental position).

Elizabeth made it her mission 20 years ago to be a part of the solution to climate change in sustainable development, and she lives by the motto ""What we construct today will form the Africa of tomorrow.""Elizabeth has collaboratively led the transformation of Kenya's built environment by embedding green building practices into the industry, thereby mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, improving human health, and boldly stimulating the green jobs agenda through her volunteer role at Kenya Green Building Society. WEB Limited is staffed by two National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Lead Experts and a Health & Safety expert, each of whom is registered and licensed by NEMA and the Directorate of Occupational, Safety, and Health Services. These individuals are responsible for all aspects of safety, health, and environmental impact assessment, as well as audit consulting. The team provides technical expertise in topics relating to and affecting project and facility safety, health, and the environment.

The team is guided by both national and international policies, regulations, laws, and standards in performing its mandate.
