The HomeBiogas 1.2M3 is a compact, household-scale anaerobic digestion system that converts animal manure and organic kitchen waste into clean cooking gas and nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer. Designed for smallholder farms and rural households, the system eliminates dependence on firewood and charcoal for cooking while capturing methane emissions that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. The unit is fully prefabricated, requires no electricity to operate, and produces enough biogas for up to 3 hours of daily cooking. HomeBiogas has deployed over 40,000 systems across 30+ countries and operates 5 Gold Standard carbon projects in Kenya. The company is a certified B Corporation.
