Recycled Glass Chandelier
Description
Anselm Kitengela Hot Glass Ltd: Chandelier made from recycled glass
The Chandelier ‘Kitengela’ is a handblown decorative light fixture made entirely from recycled glass sourced from discarded bottles and window offcuts collected within Kenya’s building industry. Its 100% waste-derived material composition eliminates the virgin raw material extraction associated with conventional glass lighting, while the solar-powered annealing process used in its manufacture reduces the energy footprint of production. The chandelier features individually shaped glass flower and leaf ornaments fused onto a metal frame with exposed light fittings, producing both ambient and accent lighting suited to residential living spaces, hotel lobbies, restaurants, and corporate reception areas. Each unit is handblown and assembled individually, meaning no two pieces are identical. The Kitengela series is available in multiple configurations ranging from compact 3-light models to large-format 10-light sphere and cluster designs, with custom colour palettes, flower counts, and dimensions available for bespoke architectural commissions.
