Adesilex P7 is a high-performance cementitious tile adhesive by Mapei, designed for interior and exterior bonding of ceramic tiles, porcelain and mosaics on floors, walls and ceilings. Classified as C2T under ISO 13007-1 and EN 12004, the adhesive delivers improved bonding strength with slip resistance – meaning heavy tiles can be applied to vertical surfaces without slumping or movement during installation.
The product is formulated from cement, fine aggregates, synthetic resins and special admixtures developed in Mapei’s Research and Development Laboratories. When mixed with water, it produces an easily workable, highly thixotropic paste that adheres to virtually all standard building substrates including renders, concrete block walls, gypsum board, cementitious screeds and painted surfaces. Adesilex P7 is also suitable for wet areas and for spot-bonding insulation materials such as expanded polystyrene, rock wool, glass wool and sound-deadening panels, making it a versatile specification across multiple building applications.

• Classification: C2T (improved slip-resistant cementitious adhesive) per ISO 13007-1 and EN 12004, compliant with ANSI A 118.4. Available in grey or white powder, 25kg bags.
• Mixing ratio: 100 parts powder to 26–28 parts water by weight (6.5–7.0 litres per 25kg bag).
• Pot life: over 8 hours. Open time: approximately 20 minutes.
• Adjustability time: approximately 60 minutes. Set to light foot traffic: 24 hours.
• Ready for grouting on walls: 4–8 hours; on floors: 24 hours.
• Fully ready for use: 14 days. Application temperature range: +5°C to +40°C.
• Operating temperature range once cured: –30°C to +90°C. Initial bonding strength after 28 days: 1.4 N/mm².
• Bonding after heat exposure: 1.1 N/mm².
• Bonding after water immersion: 1.1 N/mm².
• Bonding after freeze/thaw cycles: 1.5 N/mm².
• Consumption: 2 kg/m² for mosaics, 2.5–3 kg/m² for standard tiles, 4 kg/m² for large format and exterior floors.
• Shelf life: 12 months in original packaging.
