C-MAX Partitioning Infill Wall Panel 80mm
Description
CEMEX Holdings Limited: C-MAX EPS Partitioning Infill Wall Panel 80mm
The C-MAX Partitioning/Infill Wall Panel 80mm is a prefabricated expanded polystyrene (EPS) panel designed for non-load bearing internal partition walls and infill applications where enhanced thermal and acoustic separation between spaces is required. Part of the M2 Emmedue Advanced Building System manufactured locally in Kenya by CEMEX Holdings Limited, the panel features an 80mm EPS core enclosed in dual layers of galvanised steel wire mesh, finished on site with plaster sprayed at an average of 25mm per side. The thicker EPS core compared to the 60mm variant delivers improved sound insulation between rooms and better thermal separation between conditioned and unconditioned zones, making it suited for office dividers, hotel room partitions, and residential walls between living and utility spaces. The system achieves approximately 60% less CO2 during construction compared to conventional reinforced concrete methods, while replacing conventional blockwork partitions with a faster, lighter, and better-insulating alternative.
Technical Specifications

Sustainability Features
- Achieves approximately 60% reduction in CO2 production during construction compared to conventional reinforced concrete framing
- Thicker 80mm EPS core provides superior acoustic insulation between adjacent spaces, reducing the need for additional soundproofing layers and their associated embodied carbon
- Continuous EPS core delivers thermal separation between conditioned and unconditioned zones, lowering HVAC energy demand in mixed-use and commercial buildings
- Lighter wall assembly than equivalent blockwork partitions reduces dead loads on the structural frame, enabling more efficient foundation and column designs
- Plaster finish at 25mm per side uses less cementitious material than shotcrete-finished load bearing panels, reducing embodied carbon per square metre of wall
- Locally manufactured in Ruiru, Kenya, reducing transportation emissions and supporting the local construction supply chain
- Galvanised steel mesh and EPS components are recyclable at end of life
- Rapid dry assembly with minimal wet trades reduces water consumption and construction waste on site
