The Stiebel Eltron SHP-A 220 Plus is an air-source domestic hot water (DHW) heat pump that extracts thermal energy from indoor air and transfers it to a 220-litre integrated water cylinder. With a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 3.55, the unit delivers 3.55 kWh of heat to the water for every 1 kWh of electricity consumed, making it approximately 71% more efficient than a conventional electric immersion heater operating at a COP of 1.0. The system achieves hygienic water temperatures of up to 65 degrees C in heat pump mode alone, without activating the 1.5 kW electric booster element, and carries the highest EU energy efficiency rating of A+ for DHW heating.
