Agro Irrigation Solar Water Heating Consulting

Agro Irrigation: Solar Water Heating Consulting and Contractor

Agro Irrigation and Pump Services Ltd provides solar water heating design, supply, and installation services for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings in Kenya. Established in 1984 and based in Embakasi, Nairobi, the company holds an Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) registration as a Solar Water Heating Contractor (Licence ERC/SWHC/00031), with a licensed solar water heating technician on staff. Their solar thermal systems reduce reliance on electric and gas-powered water heating, cutting building energy consumption and lowering operational costs across the life of the installation.

Services:

• Solar water heating system design and sizing for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings
• Supply and installation of solar thermal collectors and storage tanks
• Integration of solar water heating with existing plumbing and hot water infrastructure
• System commissioning, testing, and handover
• After-sales maintenance and technical support
• Borehole drilling and water pump installation (complementary water supply services)

Sustainability Features:

• Displaces electric and fossil-fuel water heating, reducing grid electricity demand and associated carbon emissions
• Solar thermal collectors convert sunlight directly to heat, delivering higher conversion efficiency than photovoltaic-to-electric heating pathways
• Reduces long-term building operating costs by eliminating or significantly reducing energy bills for hot water
• Supports Kenya’s Energy (Solar Water Heating) Regulations 2012, which require solar water heating installations on buildings with hot water demand exceeding 100 litres per day
